I' am new here and find it hard to find my way through the "post all you want wherever you want":) feel that this forum gives me.
Anyways, is there anyone out there waiting on an EAD from VSC? I hoped to see an EAD section or service center section on the forum but...
I e-filed since November 3rd 2009 for EAD and did submit absolutely all required info, did biometrics in Feb.2010 not without having to inquire couple of times about the progress of my case. To this day I have received nothing that makes sense. It is an initial card.
Yes, I have done plenty of SRE, calls, mails with return receipt until I saw a movement on my case status. My card was mailed on May 26 2010. To my surprise, after 7 painful months of wait for a card that should take around 3 months; the card for some reasons (that the post office refuse to accept as being accurate) was being returned as undeliverable on the 1st of June and again the 8th of June:confused::confused::confused::confused:: (I did call USCIS between that time time period to provide the address they already had!!!).
I have not moved at all lately. The last change of address that I did was done by mail with return receipt, online, over the phone and I did receive a mail back at my new address stating that I did update my info. It was done in Novedmber 2009!!!!
Out of the blue, the address at which I received my biometrics appointment and all other documents following the many calls and inquiries was not right when it came to mail my card....:D
The post office that I did contact told me they had no reason to not deliver that particular mail since, yes my full name is displayed on the mail box, and yes it is a house not an apartment so less mismatches an all my other mails were dlivered... I have of course updated the address that they already have couple of times already but all I can do is wait ... Oh and I did the infopass as well, they could only type a note and give me a number linked to the inquiry like I get all the time. My DL expires tomorrow and the DMV won't renew without EAD or GC ...new policy at DMV!(my I485 is pending on I360 approved)
That's where my actual burden is because I have to drive myself to school and not being able to do so is just a living nightmare for me.
Now that you get the picture, I wonder if anyone who filed for an EAD at VSC since last year is still waiting? Is there any special backlog at VSC for EAD's that could help me start to understand what is going on here?

First of all, is your profile legitimate? It shows your PD as Dec'07 / EB3/India and you are in 485 processing??????

Hi,
My I140 is approved and I485 is pending. I am working Full Time as a Software Devloper on EAD with a Consulting Company. I have been offered a part time work of same nature by my friend. He has a company and he offers to pay me on 1099.
Would it be ok to work part time(15 Hrs. per week) and accept payment on 1099.
Please advise.

In EAD, you can have as many jobs as you can (using 1099 etc).

I got my receipts last weekend
It was some what similar story for me.
I my case my wife's app and mine got separated-
Mine got rejected on grounds of incorrect fees (there was a single check)
my wifes app turned up after a month or so
we refiled and got the receipts
I am now trying to find out what to expect for EAD and AP
I wonder if special handling cases get a better turnaround
Keep me posted with what happens with you- and maybe we can start to geta n ide as to what to expect next

The only difference is if you work for the univ on a cap exempt H1b and than transfer to industry on a cap H1b then you would have to go through the lottery or masters quoto whatever applies...however there is a loophole in this and I have read somewhere that when you apply for a transfer for a cap exempt to cap subject USCIS have goofed up and let it go through

I found this really old post 11 2004. I saw your tutorial for coloring code. I am need a coloring page for www.walrusdogblues.com My fantasy is to have five colors red blue and yellow black and white. and the ability to drop them in the drawings as needed to blend the colors. If that is too complicated then something simpler. My illustrator will try and make crisp lines to drop color into. am I dreaming? "Money is no object"

My EAD expires on 07/28/2010. My EAD renewal is currently pending (applied online on 5/18/2010 at NSC). My AP expires on 08/24/2010. I am planning to apply for AP renewal once I finish my move to new address.
So, I really don't know which date to put. BTW, USCIS online application didn't mark that field as required.

Not much happening in this shot. Seems like it needs a bike leaning against the wall, a bench, a red pot, something to give a focal point. Either that or a shaft of sunlight down the street. I'm bothered by the leaning wall on the right. Makes me feel like it's going to fall down on me. Two potential shots I see in the scene are the door and grillwork next to it, if you can get the right light on them, and the hanging plant. Tough to shoot narrow streets like this when there's strong sunlight above but the streets are all in shadow. Did you try other angles/perspectives when shooting this? If so, they might be worth looking at.
Played with the image a bit in Photoshop to see what I could get out of it. Not sure I did much but I'm no expert, particularly with curves. Maybe someone else can do better. A black-and-white version also might be good.
Keep shooting and posting.

There is hope, but is it possible?

immigrant visa numbers and make them available in a floating pool as temporary relief. There has been a great deal of speculation that the House leadership may take the SAVE act and bring it to the floor before enough signatures can be collected to force a vote. The idea is that they would add some or all of these other proposals, or even amnesty itself, to the SAVE act to make it unattractive to the original sponsors�thus killing it.
It is doubtful that anything other than amnesty would kill this legislation.
There is a serious risk for the Democrats in forcing their members to vote
down an amnesty bill. That would undoubtedly alienate one of their core
voter constituencies.
If the SAVE bill passes, the likely result is that support for legal immigration reform will increase substantially. A number of members of Congress have said that they support legal immigration reform, but first want to see new enforcement measures put into place"
