Day one of the convention started terribly slow for me. I really thought the weekend was going to be bad and that I was gonna wind up not doing much business. But I should have never doubted a Ben Stevens and Mark Walters show. Mid-day it picked right up and keep going strong the rest of the weekend. I think that there were so many great media guests people spent most of the morning making the rounds to them.
It's that time again! Time for the Sci FI Expo and it's back at the Plano Centre this year, which I love because it's just that much closer to where I live. This time they're going with a "Women of Sci-Fi" theme that doesn't disappoint.
Come out to the Dallas Comic Con August 28th and 29th at the Richardson Civic Center, 411 West Arapaho Rd (in Richardson of course). Show hours are Saturday 11:00 am - 6 pm and Sunday 12 noon - 4 pm. I will be there on Saturday only. I have my boy’s birthday party on Sunday. But come out both days because there is gonna be a ton of great guests....
Don't forget to come on out to the Sci-Fi Expo. This weekend, April 24-25 at the Richardson Convention Center, Sat: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sun: Noon to 4:00 pm. I'll be doing custom sketches, selling comic books, doing sketch cards, selling Firefly / Serenity / Browncoat journals and making conversation. Just try me! Click here for details.
Once again I'll be at the great Sci-Fi Expo. April 24-25 at the Richardson Convention Center, Sat: 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sun: Noon to 4:00 pm. Click here for details.

I’m happy to announce that I’ll once again be a guest at the Dallas Comic Con, which is this January 30-31 at the Richardson Civic Center. Other comic creators in attendance include Tim Sale, Adam Hughes, Michael Golden, Mark Brooks, Todd Nauck, Pat Broderick, Jim Mahfood, Mike Huddleston, Tom Feister, Matt Sturges, Brian Denham, Kerry Gammill, Kez Wilson, Joe Eisma, Brent Peeples, David Hopkins, Paul Milligan, Harold Ledoux and whole lot more. That’s a pretty nice line up if you’re a comic book fan. There will also be media guest like the great Adam West, Charisma Carpenter, some Twilight dude and more. I’ll be doing sketches all day Saturday and Sunday. I will also have Sketch Cards for sell as well. So, get off the couch, put on some pants and come out to the show. You know you want to. As always, a big, big thanks to Mark and Ben for their continued support.
I had a great time at the Dallas Comic Con this past weekend. Ben and Mark really outdid themselves. I hope this con fills the void left by Wizard World Texas, I think it eventually could. The show was packed and I drew non-stop on Saturday, it was crazy, the busiest I've ever been. I believe the final tally was ... 21 Pre-Drawn Sketch Cards, 6 New Sketch Cards, 4 Pre-Drawn Color Sketches, 14 New Color Sketches, 8 New BW Sketches, 1 Shades TPB, 3 Prints.
Come on out this weekend. I'll be doing commissions all day long and have my new color sketch cards for sale (see previous post).

You heard me, Colonel Tigh is gonna be here. Go meet him, maybe offer him a frakkin' swig from a flask. Or just come out and see me if you want. No one will judge you. Where you ask? Well, at the Sci Fi Expo of course.
I just wanted to thank everyone who stopped by my table at the Dallas Comicon this past weekend. I had a great time and drew almost non-stop on Saturday. I met a lot of cool people as always. Special thanks to members of the Austin Browncoats, (Beth, Brooks and all the rest), Actually there might have been other Browncoat groups there too, I'm not sure. Maybe Texas Browncoats in general. Anyway, they bought almost all of my Firefly drawings and commissioned several more. They were all really nice and seemed to have fun coming up with great scenarios for me to draw the characters in. I know I had fun drawing them for them. Check out their site and their charities, good stuff.
Speaking of Browncoats, a while back I came up with this Browncoat design that I really like and decided to make some products out of it. Right now I have some t-shirts set up (mens and womens in different colors). I plan to more products and different Firefly designs. I might even make the entire cast out of this style.
