Italy Photos

My wife and I recently went to Italy. We visited Rome, Florence, (Lucca and Pisa in one day) and Venice. It was really incredible, we had a blast. If you have the means, you should go. Anyway, we uploaded a bunch of our photos. Check 'em out if you're interested. Captions by Heather. Click on the Colosseum to see them all...

Spookytown in Rome

Recently my wife and I went to Italy (more on that later) and in Rome I found a really cool little comic book shop. We went in and shopped, I bought a Corto Maltese book because I want a comic in Italian as a momento. Anyway, I brought along a few of my Spookytown Sketchbooks in case I met anyone I would want to give one to. I gave the owner a copy. He didn't speak English very well, but asked if I drew it and he seemed to like it. Here is a photo I snapped of him looking at it as we left.

Patch Geeks: A Confession

Considering that I draw comic books, I don’t consider myself super-geeky. And my wife, although exposed to my world, is not geeky at all. But with that being said, together we are Patch Geeks. We love the outdoors. State parks, hiking, caves, animals, etc. And when we go to certain destinations, we always try to find a patch to commemorate the experience. The photo above is our collection so far. I’m only posting this so I can look back in a few years and see how much the collection has grown and to admit, in public, that we indeed have a problem.

Colorado Revisited

If for some crazy reason you've been checking out this blog since the beginning, you might have seen the photos we took in Colorado last Fall. Well, we're heading back agian this year and it inspired me to add more of the pictures we took last year to the page I created. I think I added about about 16 or so more.

So, if you're into nature or photography or you're just bored at work, give 'em a look. I'm sure when we get back for our second visit, I'll post the new ones. Should make for some good photos since we will be hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Just like last year, we're renting a cabin in the woods. We're pretty darned psyched about the whole thing, I gotta tell ya.

Colorado, Rocky Mountain Guy

I just got back from my first ever trip to Colorado. After almost 37 years, I think it was worth the wait. I always knew it would be one of those places that I'd love automatically. It was awesome. The lovely Heather and I went up for a wedding and extended the trip for a little vacation. Got in a lot of hiking and sight seeing.

Man, that John Denver sure knew what he was talking about.
