Connect with me on deviantART

I've had a deviantART account for about a year now, but really never did anything with it because I found the interface to be a bit clunky. But I recently buckled down and started using that sucker. So if you're on there yourself, check out my profile. I still have a lot of stuff to add, so check back from time to time.

My New Precious

Sad news to report, well sad for me, not you. My G4 Mac, lovingly refer to as “Silver Surfer”, died last Sunday. You might can imagine my frustration and despair. But I guess I got a lot of mileage out of it since it was 7 years old. Which seems old for a computer. Especially since the guy checking it out at the Apple store literally referred to it as “vintage”. No joke.

So, obviously I had to order a new computer and that hurt. Mainly my wallet. I sure wasn’t expecting to wake up that day and spend that much money. In case you live in a cave (Batman, I’m looking at you), Macs are really... really... really... really... really... really expensive. But, my new wicked cool Mac Pro is here and ready for business. I have named him “Galactus”.

Virtual Studio Crawl

While checking my friend David Hopkins' website, I saw something cool that he posted...

"KERA's Art & Seek is creating an online gallery of art spaces, a virtual studio crawl. Inspiration came from a contest called "Make Space for Artists - Design-a-Studio," sponsored by La Reunion TX and The Dallas Museum of Art."

His studio was one of the first ones featured, along with several other interesting ones. I thought it was a really neat idea, so I submitted mine and they added it to the group. Very cool!

Pictures of my Studio

I really love it when I visit an artist's website and they show images of their working spaces. For some reason it fascinates me to see where creative people work. So, I thought I'd return the favor and post some shots of my own home studio. My lovely wife was cool enough to let me turn one of the bedrooms in our new home into a work place for me to draw and do design work. I built wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling shelves to hold all my comic book stuff, toys and movies. So check it out!
