How I know I'm Allergic to LATEX
So Maile’s(my chihuahua) new thing is, when I get home to let Moog(Chihuahua -men pin mix) out of her cage (she is the only dog that gets kenneled during the day- Read prev. posts and you will understand why) Miss Maile likes to wait at the door to the room that Moog is in so she can go in there and stand right in front of the cage and bark at her. Like ha ha ha, I’m out here and you’re in there.
Then the minute I let Moog out, Maile chases her all the way down the hall barking and trying to bite her.
Did I say that Ihate loath barking dogs. Especially the small yippy yappy ones. Which I have 3 of and the worst 3 you could possibly have. Don't get me wrong I love dogs. There are just some times after a long day at work, I could do without 3 dogs barking, at the kid who is riding his bike, across the street, 3 freaking blocks down. See what I'm saying.
So now I have started picking Maile up and carrying her while I am letting Moog out of her kennel.
Well let me just tell you she might be small but she can be vicious. It is so freakin hard to hold onto her little body, and because of this I now have two cuts on my hand from her jagged toenails. (Yes, someone I won't name names needs to cut this damn dogs nails, and pronto)
Hence, how I know that I am allergic to Latex. People when you’re allergic, you just know. The minute you stick that band aid on, the skin underneath it just starts to react and it isn’t a pretty sight. I would avoid it at all costs. Thats if you’re allergic to latex.
Which brings me to how I know I’m now allergic to shrimp, strawberries, blueberries , and maybe spinach. Ok, so I’m not a hundred percent sure that I am allergic to all these items, but……………………………………When I broke out in hives all over after I had eaten all of these things in the same day. SO honestly I don’t freakin know and seriously I don’t want to break out in hives again.
There is a good possibility that I will just have to give all of them up for ev er.
Or at least until I feel up to dealing with hives again. I’m thinking not anytime soon. What really sucks is I love shrimp (who doesn’t) and I really love love love strawberries and blueberries. I dont really care here nor there about the spinach.
I mean hey I guess I can look on the bright side, my throat didn’t swell shut. No doubt that would have really sucked. Also, this could be the beginning of a new weight loss plan. If I keep becoming allergic to stuff there won’t be many options left of food I can eat.

Empire Strikes Back Sketch Cards - First Batch
Here are the first twenty cards I did over the weekend, got them approved this morning. I did fully finished images and color on these. I'd like to be able to plow though the entire 106 doing them this way, but as the deadline approaches, I may hit a patch of black and whites or more "sketch" style ones in order to finish on time. We'll see. As always, I hope you like them.

P'ups Sketch Cards
When it rains it pours. But I like rain. I just got my blanks for another sketch card set I'll be working on. This is another one for 5finity, the same folks who are producing the Dead@17 cards. This set is called "P'ups: Pin-ups and Puppies" featuring Dean Yeagle's Mandy and Skoots, the classic girl next door and her dog. Two of the cards I'm doing will feature those characters, the rest will be any cute pin-up girl I want along side different breeds of puppies chosen by the company. Should be a fun set to do. But they're due around the same time as the Star Wars cards, so I'll definitely be busy the next month.
Indiglow House

My house has been dubbed the Indiglow House.
Why you ask?
Well, let me tell you why.
During my 2nd marriage. My husband worked the 2nd sometimes the 3rd shift . Which ment that my children and I were home alone during the scariest time of night. Hello, I do read a lot of books and I sometimes watch the news, so I am fully aware of what kind of scary freaks are out there running around.
So being the normal kind of person I am, I would keep almost all the lights on in the house at night. This made me feel secure, and at least it appeared that someone was up and awake at all hours in my house.
A lot of my fear came from my years of living in California fresh out of H.S. on my own. I'm not saying California isn't a safe place to live. I'm just saying at age 19 living on your own in a unfamiliar city is a little bit scary.
Thankfully my ex never questioned me about our expensive electric bill, cause I wasn’t about to change. At least not while I spent my evenings home alone.
I guess by leaving the lights on all night, it was doing the job. Because one day when the kids and I were out back in the pool our neighbor came over and said ummmm, why are you guys always up so late?
So I had to explain why I really wasn’t up at 3am but it appeared I was. (It has never dawned on me till now, that maybe I should of asked my neighbor what she was doing up at 3am looking in my windows?) What the heck?
From that point on our house was known as the indiglow house.
So when I got married for the 3rd time, ( yes, I have had a hard time settling down) I had spent such a long time on my own and was set in my ways that made me feel secure, it was really hard to change.
My sportsman did not understand why I insisted on keeping so many lights on when we went to bed. Partly cause he is one of those ppl who watches the dollar. Also, partly cause he didn’t understand why if he was home that I didn’t feel secure enough that we could shut down some of the lights. You know, once fear gets ahold of you, it’s really hard to shake it.
It has taken me 8 years to get it down to having only 1 little ole kitchen light on when we go to bed. Ok, if you don’t count night lights. Do the little plug in night lights count as a light on? No ? Ok good then I have really made a lot of progress.
Now, if I could just put the maglight flash light back under the kitchen sink and not sitting next to my bed I would be golden.
Wish me luck!
